What is the best method of feeding fish while on vacation? The tetra slow dissolving pucks say they feed up to 14 days. If I got two of those I would surely be set right? Or do those not work as advertised? I have heard mixed feedbacck on what to do so I am asking again. Should I go with the automatic feeders or the pucks? The pucks I am referring to are tropical gel packed color food, maybe flakes that slowly dissolve and release.

Please respond with your chosen/proven method of feeding fish while away.

If it were me a would fast the whole tank and try get someone in to feed a set amount on day 5. The vacation feeders have a tendency of dissolving and polluting the water. You don't want that while you're away. Auto feeders can malfunction. Unless you have fry then the fish will be perfectly fine without food for about a week.
