So I have a 55 gallon HEAVILY planted tank. A year or two ago I bought an odyssea 48" inch t5ho light ballast. At the time I was just starting out and just trying to find something that would fit the tank without having to get a custom lid (the tank is from the 80s and just slightly off standard measurements). I never knew until now that they're junk. Mine just completely died (just before new people were coming over argh). I can't remember where I got it from or if I have a warranty. Is there any real reason is could have crapped out? And anything I can to to fix it?

Try Topdogsellers on amazon They sell all replacement parts for Oddysea. I have Oddysea lights and love them. The remote ballast is a huge + in my opinion.
Electronic parts go bad in time. No certain reason why some last longer than others. I bought a new computer a few months back, and it went up in smoke already!!
