Light Cycle With No Corals (Yet)

Since I only have a few inverts right now do I even need to be running my 150w halide, or just my 36w actinics? Will coraline algae growth be stunted with only 36w in a 28 gallon tank.

Right now, I'm doing 12 hours LED moonlights, dusk/dawn actinics, and 8 hours of the halide (and fans to keep temps down when the halide's on).

You don't have to run them. You could always reduce the MH period if you don't want it burning. I leave my LEDs on 24/7
