Aquarium Advice FINatic
Hi guys/girls
I have a 66g discus tank with a few live plants. For about the last 2 months I have had spots of green slime algae on the Sand substrate. I'm using T8 lighting with 2 25w white bulbs. I have added another external filter so I now have 2 aquamanta 400 (1400lph) each. Also added a powerhead (2500lph) for extra flow. The discus don't mind it to be honest they seem to like it.
If I changed the bulbs would it help to rid the tank of the green algae? And if so what bulbs should I get?
I use RO water and re-mineralise it before adding it to the tank. I do regular w/c every week of 60ltrs. I feed them twice a day and thy eat everything.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks guys/and girls.
