I have a 60 gallon tank with the dimensions of 12.75 in x 48.5 in x 25 in and I wanna get the Finnex 24/7 CC Series and I was just wondering do glass tops get in the way or lessen the effectiveness of the lighting? If so what tops would you recommend, ive heard no tops is an option but also this risks debris getting in the tank and fish jumping out. Also I was curious given my tank is 48.5 in long should the length of my light be 48 inches or less? Thanks

Thanks for the response, Ill just put the light on the glass then.

If you have plants on outside edges of tank, I’d do full length. It your doing a center planted then shorter might be ok.

Im setting it all up now so Id rather be safe than sorry. Thanks
