I recently got back into fish keeping after not doing it for a while. I have setup a 3ft tank with driftwood, artificial plants and some pebble stones. Now my petroleum is lighting. Is a UK light need or can I just do led lights or something similar? I don't want to buy once and get the right stuff. I may consider using life plants later on. But for now it will be the artificial plants only and some fish. Thank you

Cheaper LED lights sound fine to me. You don't need to worry about changing bulbs then.

If you did go into planted tanks I'd look at a plant LED light then as they can be more expensive depending on setup.

Went with the petstore's recommendation and got a t8.
