I am wondering how often do you reccomened I change the strip lighting for my tanks?
My show tank is currently a Rio 125, I have had it for a year and a half, none of the lights have gone but I have heard that it is best to change the bulbs every year as the light becomes less bright with time.

Will this be good for the health of my fish and plants?

You should change NO bulbs once a year. the color spectrum starts to deteriorate, your plants will thank you for it. The fish wont care less.

Well, unless you have live plants in there, I wouldn't worry about it. Change the bulb if it seems dim, doesn't wanna turn on quickly, or develops a flicker.
