Little surprise...

So I Just found this Little guy on the glass after moving a piece of live rock. Do I need to Do anything special to keep him alive, or will he just be happy hanging out on the rocks?

Looks like a mini-brittle star. I had dozens, quite possibly more in my tank. You probably have more too. They scavenge and eat anything that's left uneaten/dead. Good hitchhiker to have, but don't expect to see them much since they usually camp in the rocks with just an arm or two hanging out.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I think I just stirred him up when I was moving the rocks around. He quickly found his way back. But he'll eventually get to big to crawl in the nooks and crannys of the rock...Hope he'll get along with my African Red Knob Star!

I saw one of those guys last night and was worried that it was gonna be another bad hitchhiker on the rocks I just got. Glad to hear they are good to have.
