I just got back from being on vacation, and finally paid attention to the tanks today, and one of the balloon mollys is lumpy!! The only thing close to it in any of my fish books looks like nodular disease, but it doesn't seem quite right. I'm sorry for the quality of these pics, but maybe someone has a clue? The fish herself is quite active & alert and none of the other fish in the tank have similar growths.

Water parameters:
Nitrate - 10 (which is strange, 'cause it always tested at 20 out of the faucet)
Nitrite - 0
Ammonia - 0
pH - 8.4 (always that high)
temp - 84 (compromise temp for the discus)

What has happened with the molly? Is she eating, and does her poo look stringy? She ought to be removed to quarrantine, if possible. Have you checked any of the links provided by Zagz?
