Guys, I'm trying to make sure I have plenty of micros in my tank. I'm using the EI method with CSM+B for my micros, plus N,P, & K. I don't add any of the GH booster, but I think I may need to change that. I've got pretty soft water here in Memphis, so I add crushed coral to the filter. It varies depending on when I test it, but the KH is anywhere between 1-3, and the GH is anywhere between 4-6. 2/5 seems to be the norm. I know that the GH is a mixture of calcium/carbonates and magnesium, whereas KH is only calcium/carbonates.
Here's my question. Can I subtract my KH values from my GH values to get an approximate idea for what my magnesium content is? I tried googling it, but found nothing.
