Aquarium Advice Freak
Does anyone know of anyone who is using Marineland's new In-sump protein skimmers.
According to company brochure:
Bottom mounted motor
Smallest footprint
Needle wheel impeller
No external pipes,hoses or sponges
Adjustable industrial-designed drain line inhibits escape of bubbles into sump.
Sounds great to me. My current Berlin skimmer is not producing enough bubbles, therefore not enough gunk. I believe that its life is about done. Running for about 10 years now. Gone thru several pumps. Venturi valve seems not to work as well any more. Figured time for a new skimmer but only have so much room in my sump.
