I recently put up my first posts questioning wether I was killing my fish or not as my guppys were dying off in pairs 
my remaining male guppy developed a black head and bulging black eyes. Hence the question of killing them or not , however, the male hippy has now turned back to normal after what looked like his mating dance towards the last remaining female ! My question is , could the turning black be a mating thing??

Newly set up although filter came out of a previous established tank(disease free)

2 gouramis
4 plattys
15 3 week old platty babies
