thanks! how long does it take for them to "grow up"? i accidentally fell into the fry, so i really don't know anything about them.

Really depends on what you mean by "Grow up." My Red Wag Platies are at least 6 months old, if not 8 months. They (with regular feedings and water changes) are only HALF the size of the adult platies at the pet store. I would give it a year, at least, before they reach adult size. BUT, be aware! They are able to breed at 10-12 weeks old!

Your 3rd pic is a twin bar, the first is a red wag tail I think and the second I am unsure. I have 22 fry currently and I'll get pics asap.

I had a Praecox have the same problem your Molly did but it wasn't a bladder issue it was a destroyed tail fin. But you can never rule out pissibilities

Yep, they really will be enthusiastic about breeding. My 6-8 month old Platies are having... um... fun with my male adult size platy....
