Anyone know the if i could just add in a couple more leds into the existing moonlights on the biocube 14 if i would use 150ohm resistors and splice in after the transformer?

why add more light? fish only see blue light so if they are blue moon lihgts its probably already bright enough.

as well a resister only reduces the voltage while increading the ammount of current drawn from the transformer, so adding a different resister will either blow up the LEDs or not allow them to run very bright. if you're goign to add just add them to the wiring now and hope the trasformer can hadle the increased current draw

Ya the moonlights are just for me i cant even see in there at night i want it a bit brighter

Ya i thought about that too would your average car led strip lights be the right wavelength?

in the case of moonlights wavelength shouldn't really matter. its not for corals or anemones its moree for the user to be able to view their fish, which is why some say use red lights, the fish can't see it and you are still able to view them

yeah as long as the car LED strips are water/salt proof (most are waterproof) you should be fine, the moonlights are only for viewing pleasure after lights out, the actinic (blue) bulb is for coral growth
