I set up my new Juwel 140L tank on Sunday last weekend 10/05/15 (See attached pics) I'm very happy with my setup and all the plants in the tank are doing great so far however the moss' I bought the day I setup the tank which were a very full green colour have started to discolour, to be honest I'm not sure what kind of moss they are but there are two types.
One is turning a lighter whitish colour and one is beginning to go dark green/brown.
Any advice on what might be going on and how I can get them to return to their healthy green state?

did you soak the moss in anything before putting it in your tank? ex. diluted bleach, excel, hydrogen peroxide, etc...
Also that is riccia fluitans in the second pic and in the third it is java moss just to let you know... :)

No didn't soak them in anything they were floating in my old small aquarium for a few hours while I was setting up but the water quality was good in it and a lot of my plants have come from that aquarium.
Yeah thanks I had a feeling the second one was java moss seems to be the most common moss.
Also I have a couple of ideas what it could possibly be:
1) The water in my tank is straight from the tap and hadn't cycled yet maybe minerals in the water knocked them around a bit?
2) I'm not sure if they are affected by Ph levels? I was told the aqua soil I used will drop the Ph of the tank down to about 6.5 until it's cycled for about 3 weeks (Haven't got a test kit yet therefore haven't tested Ph)
3) My tank has a stock setup of 2 fluorescent tubes for lighting (438mm 24W) I know too much light can be a problem but what is normal for them? I run them for about 11 hours 7am - 6pm as that's roughly how long the sun is up.

Probably T8 bulbs. I'd upgrade to LED or T5 bulbs. Java moss is simple, if it is browning usually do to lack of light. Plants don't mind ring in an uncycled tank as long as there is an ammonia source for them and the bacteria to feed from.
