Mudskipper tank mates

I am getting a 55 gallon tank in a month and a half and i was going to stock it with these
My 2 mudskippers Vixen and Charles
6 Cory cats
Possibly another mudskipper
I like oddball fish alot. Anything that could go into a 30/40 gallon sonce i need room for air and docks

I don't think the cories and mudskippers would be compatible since I'm fairly certain that mudskippers need brackish water. I've never kept them though so correct me if I'm wrong. Keeping that in mind any tank mates would have to be brackish too.

I have africans so they are not brackish. Mine have always been in freshwater no problems
