So I have a 40 gallon breeder with two eheim jager 100 watt heaters. I set them both to 77 and the reading on my tank (thermometer on the opposite side of the tank as the heaters) is 80-81. I figured this might be a problem with two heaters but I wasn't sure. Anyway, am I supposed to mess with the heater settings until they reach 77 or am i missing something?
For the record, the temperature needs to be 77 because one of the fish im going to keep has a max temp of about 77 or 78 while the others like it a little warmer
