Well after 27 days of fishless cycling, it's been great to get some fish in there over the past week or so! More plants on the cards & a nice piece of wood (which has been soaking for weeks & is still leeching!)

All doing well & seem happy & compatible with each other :)

I thought tinkering was part of the point having fish :)

Nice angels.

Very true, although doesn't go down well with my girlfriend!

Thanks for the comment on my angels. They're real stars :)

Looks great! how do you like the loaches?

Cheers. The loaches are great. So entertaining! They're either charging around with each other, or laying in a pile under a piece of slate!

I can relate. My husband gets uber annoyed when I "tinker" w/ my tanks. :ROFLMAO: Btw, the "tinkering" never ends... just so you know. ;)

Your tank looks nice! I really love the Clown Loaches! :D

I feared the the "tinkering" would never end. ;) The Clown Loaches are such a nice, easy going fish & so playful with their buddies.

I've been really lucky with my tank mates. I've got the Clown Loaches, the Angels, a Rainbow Shark & a couple of Golden Gourami in there & they all get on so well. Often the whole lot are out front & centre, with the only aggression being between the two Angels, now & again.

A few new pics....

I like the setup! I think some more deco/plants/caves and rocks would really help with the scaping, while giving your fish (including the new rummynose) some places to hide if necessary.

Thanks. I have got plans to add some more plants as I go along. I also fancy making some slate caves for shelter, as tonight I found a Clown Loach & my Rainbow shark in the same log! Perfectly happy, just sort of laying next to each other. Wish I'd got a photo :)

Haha! Cute! I think some more caves and maybe a large piece of driftwood with some anubias growing on it might be good additions.

The loaches will get too big for that tank if I'm not mistaken. They really are great though, I had some a long time ago, a lot of character. Tank looks great!

Thanks. It's a 63 gallon tank, so they should have quite a bit of growing room. May look at a bigger tank as they mature. They're great to watch. Either full of energy or sleeping on top of each other!

Most people on here say 75 gallon minimum for clown loaches, but a 63 probably will do.

Cool. I'll see how they grow over time. Do you know at what age they reach maturity & stop growing?

From what I understand they grow very slowly. Several years to reach 12" or so. ( I don't have experience keeping them that long, I ended up giving mine to someone. Just something I've read/heard.)
