I have the timer set for 6 hours, Is that enough ?

Most people will run thier lights between 8-12 hours a day. I would start with 8 and slowly adjust up until you think it is where you want it. Your coral will need a little time to adjust to the stronger MH lighting you have on there now. If you start to have problems with algae then you can cut it down a little bit.

I agree with the adjustment period, but I would start with 6 where you're at and increase it an hour a week or so until you get into the range you want to be for total light.
