This is my Oscar tank only temp it is 29g
1 tiger 2 albino. I am runing 2 filters and a power head with a sponge on the intake. Filter 1 is aquaclear50, filter 2 is an aqueon 30 both are 200 gph. The power head is cheap walmart aquatech rated 175 gph sponge is the one that came with a hush 35 filter. I just cut a slit in the middle of the sponge and slid it over the intake. Any suggestions other than a lager tank my 75 is cycleing but will soon house my oscars. My algie bloom has almost been eradicated I have been doing 50% water changes daily and with the oscars being in that tank I will continue to do 50% changes twice a week and I do use nutrafine cycle with ever change that was highly recomended by the manager of petland

Nope, your right on track. Keep the nitrates below 20ppm with water changes, feed them a quality pellet, and enjoy.

When the new 75g gets up and running I would use pool filter sand for the substrate instead of gravel, oscars love to dig and redecorate. Plus it makes it way easier to suck up their enormous "cat like" turds.

Skip the Cycle it's a waste of money.

None, just keep up with your water changes and use a quality declorinator like Prime and save you pennies. I don't use any chemicals in my tank unless I'm treating for something.

I would also suggest prime it has been the best water treatment product I have used and I have tested about every brand!!
