my pleco turned very aggressive

my 8 years old pleco that stayed very small or stunned started to be very aggressive since i tranfer him into a 65 gallon tank he chases the mbunas areound and even when theres not food

i never had that kind of behavior with him before he was a gentle fish but now he become territorial and aggressive towards other fishes

It may be because they will try to use the same rocks he does to hide out, plecos can be mean when it comes to their hidey holes

It could to where you transferred them to a new tank. Which means they need to set new boundary limits.
How long has it been since you put them in the new tank???
