Aquarium Advice Apprentice
Posted this question in the wrong section of the forum. Oops sorry. But anyways...
the store I work at just got a handful of Tetra Water Wonder 1.5G tank kits. I am fairly new to aquariums and a complete invert virgin. I was thinking, however, that it would be best to learn about inverts by starting a small species tank of some sort of shrimp. I haven't the slightest clue what's available to me yet, but I figure I should do ample research before I decide on a species anyways.
My question is, are the optimal conditions for shrimp the same as your average freshwater fish? (Temp, filtration, ph, etc.) Do I cycle the tank in the same fashion as my fish tanks? And how many ghost or red cherry shrimp would be appropriate for a tank that small?
Any other tips and advice for an invert newbie would be welcome as well.
Thank you so much for the help!
