Need tips for swapping

I am switching out my 29 gal bow front with a standard 55 gallon. The problem is I want it in the same spot as the 29 and... This is going to have to be a 1 man job. I am going to pump water from the 29 to the 55 and add and treat water until there's enough to hold my stock in my 29. Any tips will be appreciated.

Nonetheless the swap was successful and my convicts seem to be settling just fine, if anyone cares I plan to add some driftwood and try out some plants and new lighting.

Just a male and about 10 of his fry. When I 'rescued' them they were in a 10 gal with about 30 fry and the mother was stuck to the filter motionless... Needless to say, it's a wonderful upgrade to what they've had in the past.

Hope some fry are female they look better but yea must seem like a lake to them
