Hey y’all! My neighbor gave me a 5 gallon tank. I know you basically can’t do anything with that but I was thinking of putting a ton of plants in there. That being said...

Can you have just plants? Does anyone want to share their just plants aquarium? Or does anyone have shrimp/snails inside too? I was thinking maybe I could do that too.

Any advice or inspiration would be highly welcomed!

Hi SKB

You can have a plant only tank, you would just need to dose the correct fertiliser. Probably something containing nitrogen as this wont be coming from fishwaste.

Why would you want a fishless aquarium though? 5 gallon would be a good fit for a single betta, or you go with an invertabrate tank and put some shrimp and/or snails in there.
