New 20 gal Hex

So I just restarted this tank....I had it a few years back before college and just moved out and wanted to pick it back up again. I know they aren't the greatest tanks, but it's all I have room for at the moment. I'm pretty sure I'm fully cycled and I wanted some input as to what I can add....I plan on doing weekly 20% water changes, but I know not much more than I currently have...

Currently:
1 - White Cloud (left from Cycle period)
1 - small Cory
6 - medium Tiger Barbs
1 - Blue Gourami

IMO, its not what you should add, but what you should remove. Tiger barbs and a blue gourami shouldn't be in that tank. The gourami will just get too big, and the tiger barbs too active. You're going to have to stock that tank with fish that could be stocked in a 10g, simply because of the lack of swimming room.

Ok...so say I return the Gourami since he's not a good fit...is there anything small I can put with the barbs? They seem fine and are swimming and eating at all levels of the tank.

i would personally keep tiger barbs to a species tank. and i wouldn't keep any in that tank.

if i were you i would keep the white cloud and the cory, and get a few more of each. you could probably do about 8 white clouds and 5 cories. i think that would be a nice stock for that tank. do you have the dimensions? i'm pretty sure i have the same tank, it's 27g.

A fish that i personally think will work well in a tank like that is Glass catfish, now with these fish they need atleast 3 buddies but 6 is always better. They dont move very much so they can be easily fitted in that tank.
