I recently got back into Saltwater by setting up a JBJ 28g Nano, but that only reinvigorated my passion for the hobby so I'm about to purchase a 90G setup. I haven't actually purchased anything yet, so I'm open to suggestions.

Deep Blue Professional 90R with corner overflow
Deep Blue Professional Series 2 stand
Aqueoun Pro 250W Heater
2 Koralia Evolution 750 Powerheads
Eshopps RS-200 Reef Sump
Reef Octopus 6" Pinwheel (rated up to 150 G)
Danner Mag 9.5 return pump

My real dilemma is lighting. I want to keep LPS and SPS in a mixed reef. I am intrigued by LED lighting but cannot hang pendants from the ceiling. I was thinking about getting 2 Green Element Evo Quad Reef LED 48" Fixture from Aquatraders and call it a day.

Any other recommendations for lighting? My budget is approximately $600 and I am not limited to LEDs but prefer them.

Thanks in advance.

This tank doesn't come with a hood, at least I didn't see one at my LFS. I was just doing some research on the Maxspect Razor LED units and see I can get two of the 120W units and support the legs on the edge of the tank and on the center brace on the left and right. This would cost $800 or so but I'ld be willing to invest the money if these units are worth it.

First thing I ordered was my lights. I decided to get 2 Maxspect Razor 16k 120w units. I placed my order today since I got a great deal with a pre-thanksgiving coupon code for 14% off.

I was wondering if 2 Koralia 750gph would provide enough flow or if I should step up to 2 Koralia 1050s instead?

I was also debating the merits of upgrading my skimmer selection to a Reef Octopus XS160. Is it worth the extra money in a 90g reef over the 6" 150 skimmer?

Just wanted to update that I decided to go with a Deep Blue 120 gallon. Tank has been up a little over a month. Here arw some pictues:

Here is a video as well...I took it early in the morning and I ramble on a bit, but its otherwise decent lol.

In terms of powerheads, in my 55 reef I run 2 1050, 3 750, and 1 550 along with a marineland which is about a 1050 if i remember correctly. I keep my water moving.

Yes, I ended up going with 2 Koralia 1050s. My return is a Mag 9.5 which goes to an Aqua UV 57 Watt sterilizer and then gets Teed off to my dual returns.

I may decide to upgrade one of my Koralias to an MP40 in the near future when I get corals.

I'll be going the MP40 route as well at some point in the future once I uprade tanks. Worth the money from all I've read and then I can sync them with my radions.

In my 90 I have 1-1400, 1-1050(soon to be 2) plus 4 different return nozzles and I still feel like there's not enough flow lol

Is there a way to update my subject since I actually have a 120g, not a 90? I made the change last second since I loved the look of the 120g at my LFS.
