new reef--corals

really new at this stuff---when adding corals do you actually place them on the rock where you want them or do they navigate to where they want to be? I have read several different articles on coral and none say exactly how you place them in the tank. Dont want to hurt or offend them.

LOL offend them.

What I'd do is put them on the sandbed to start and get acclimated to you tank with it's lighting, etc. Then slowly move them upwards until you get them where you want them

by slowly he means over a period of days or weeks. you place them and/or glue them to the rock you want them on eventually.
