new stand

i have my 55 gallon tank on 2 small dressers and now i baught
a stand the tank is ver heavy wta do i do to put it on the stand

Empty it. Even the smallest weight could flex it in the "move" and crack the glass

is your tank glass or acrylic? acrylic is a lot lighter and you can probably empty it half way and two people can easily move it. Don't know if it's safe to move a glass tank this way though.

I would empty the tank .. even for acrylics ..... Glass tank can crack (or bust a seam) with the water sloshing around. Acrylic tanks are meant to have their bottom completely supported when filled, lifting a full tank will bow out the bottom & crack it. <i3k ... it is not the weight of the tank that is the problem, it is the weight of the water on the bottom ... even half full, I would not move a big acrylic tank with water in.>

Get a couple buckets or a cooler. Drain some of your tank water into the buckets/cooler and put your fish in there while you move the tank.
