Hi all, I finally gave into my son's desire for a tank. I'll probably be around here a lot.

So far...
Rock - 30lbs dead, 30lbs live
Tank - 75g, running three weeks
Water - started with tap, mistake i know, replaced 20g so far with ro/di
Added - bottle of bacteria 3wks ago, just started adding b-ionic calcium
Equipment - 2 powerheads, remora skimmer, t5 2 bulb light, ehiem cannister which i hear i don't need, heater
Livestock - yes already, 3 mexican turbo snails, 8 blue legged crabs, 2 silver mono, 1 coral goby, 1 starfish, 2 ninja star snails, 1 bishop cap urchant who did not survive.

Went through a diatom and algie explosion a week and a half ago. Tank is clear again.

Wish me luck!

Good Luck with your tank. I'm sort of a beginner too so I cant wait to see how your tank turns out. I always wanted a saltwater tank. The Fish are amazing! Well, Have Fun!:fish2::)
