Aquarium Advice Newbie
125 Oceanic 6ft tank, reef octopus skimmer, trigger 36 fuge/sump, HOB overflow (non-reef ready tank), 125lbs LR, Vortec MP40 power head, 8 bulb 6 foot T5 lighting, ATO and RO/DI system, pair of clown fish, couple green chromis, live sand and miracle mud in my refugium. I converted this tank to salt after 9 years of raising Chiclids. Two weeks into this marine hobby and all is well. I test water every other day and log the basic 4. I use RODI only! I'm not running the skimmer, carbon, doing a PWC, or putting macro until the cycle is complete. Temp is maintained at 82 degrees and parameters suggest the cycle is moving along nicely.
