I personally like the sailfin plecos, albino bristle nose, and hi-fin bristle nose plecos. I can't help you on the live plant situation.

When would be a good time to add a pleco... our tank has been up maybe 2 weeks....

So should I wait till I have more bacteria in the tank?

I would test the water constantly, so every two days or so. Once the ammonia, nitrite ane at zero you can put the pleco in. They to keep ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite as low as possible. It took me two weeks for the cycle to finish on my 75.

Thanks
