Newbie tank parameters

Just new to fish keeping. Have a 90 liter tank finishing it's cycle (with fish- long story but have 6 tough little tiger barbs to show for it).
Just need advice about optimising parameters.
Today's results
PH 6.4
Ammonia 0.25
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
GH 50-100ppm
KH 0-50ppm

I aim to keep just barbs.

- what should drive the water change decision?
-does KH have to be higher?
-also how many barbs could I keep in the future?
