Hi everyone, my name is Jaime. When our Christmas elves went back to the North Pole they left our kids 4 red claws. Kids have zero interest which is fine because I absolutely love them. We started them off in a 29 gallon tank with some mollies but after the fish being food bullies I decided to make them a crab-a-tat. They are one day three in this tank (40 gallon breeder) and so far are acting normal maybe a bit shy compared to in the other tank. But it’s still new. Any advice I can gain would be appreciated. Can’t wait to talk to everyone.

Here are a few pictures. Some are from their old habitat and some are from the new one.

Since in this new habitat only one (out of four crabs) has found the sandy beach I made. She went up there last night and hasn’t left. It’s been more than 24 hours and I’m worried. she is hiding under a coconut shell. I’m hoping she’s starting the molding process but I’m so new to this and I am not sure if they molt on land or in the water. Condensation is high so I’m sure she’s getting moisture up there but I can’t help but worry.
