75 gallons for the up to 19" adult. For now, give him room...I'd say a 20 long. It'll give you some time to get that bigger tank if you don't already have. Always plan for the adult animal. BTW...I read a lot about how niger triggers are said to be less aggressive than other triggers. I beg t o differ on that. I've seen many large males that are just as ruthless as any other trigger. Beautiful fish though
