Ok, def a canister than, if it were smaller I'd recommend hobs. If you're tight on space you may have to go hob though? And ac 110 packed with floss combined with a small sun sun for bio could be a good setup

47.5 gallon tank? I would say 2 Fluval C4's or AC 70's would be good.

Marineland also makes some good canisters, C360 or a Magnum.
