Hi everyone,

I'm buying my first large tank today! I can't wait. It will be tropical freshwater, I've been waiting to do this for about three months, finally have some time off to get organised. Ideally I'm aiming for a minimum 90L tank.

Any suggestions for getting set up are more than welcome, though I know about cycling and to add fish slowly.

Can you have fake/plastic plants in with real ones?

I'm also hoping to set up a 20L with these awesome mini guppies and cherry shrimp but I'll see how I go with the bigger tropical tank first.

I'm excited and nervous, only ever had bettas (fighting fish specifically) before.

Welcome to the forums! :) :welcome: :)

I have never heard of any issues keeping fake plants with real ones, but I would get a second opinion just to be sure.
