Your test kit is not sensitive enough to show that low of levels. You need to rely on your nutrient calculations at low levels. It not uncommon for those cheap test kits to be off by 10 or more ppm.

I just tried to put the solution with the 250ml of 67.2 g of kno3 in the 5ml test tube to see if it would give any results. I guess that it should have shown over 50ppm but again it showed 0ppm. Is there something totally obvious I'm missing?
