odd fish behavior

Had no clue where to post this:

I have a new platy that I got yesterday and today I noticed that my balloon molly keeps rubbing up against her. She doesn't do it with any of the other fish just the new platy. Any clue as to why? She has never done this before

Sounds like they are trying to breed. Often livebearers like guppies, mollies and platys will not understand that they are actually different species and will try and interbreed regardless!

Don't worry too much just make sure your new platy doesn't get harassed all the time and gets some rest.

Do you have males in the tank? She may be assuming the role of a male if you don't.

They should be all female, I think. I'm not fully for sure what my neon tetra is

I know I was stating that I know the sex of all the fish I'm my tank except that one. I don't just have livebearers in my tank

I think I just figured out why she was rubbing up against her. My platy just popped out a fry
