Old ball predator

Has any one kept blue gill before? I have a pond full of top minnows that I use for feeder fry in spring and all through summer for my killifish and my other fish indoor. Last summer I stocked the pond with some blue gill and ended up snagging some of the fry for feeders. So now some of them servived at the bottom of my tank and I wanted to go ahead an raise them. My question is what's a good food source, tank size, and tank mate ( if any)
