I have a 10 oz jar of NLS that I've barely used 10% of in the last near 8 months. I read something about dry food losing its nutrient and taste value after 6 months.

Is that true? Should I get a new jar and toss that out or can I safely keep feeding my fish from that jar?

All NLS foods have a experation date on the top of the jar, if its within that time use it if not pitch it.

Ah, I see it. I have until Dec 2015 so that makes me a bit more comfortable.

So the dry pellets wont lose nutritional value over such a short span of 6 months?

All food loses nutritional value over time, but with a quality food like NLS it's very minimal.
