Do Oto's need driftwood in the tank for their diet? I just bought one and I know pleco's need it but do Oto's?

There are only a few pleco's that need wood that I know of.. And Oto's are algae eaters..

No, oto's don't require wood...wouldn't hurt to have it though. Most pleco's like to rasp on the wood for nutrients.

i think the wood is just healthy in general for all the fish. As is natural plants.
