anyone know if ottos breed commonly in captivity? I just noticed that one of my ottos has a massive belly compared to the others.

Think there have only been several documentated cases of it occuring. I'm guessing it at quite a bit.

Did some quick reading. Apparently they breed similar to cories. So it could be quite possible that your otos could breed.

that would be neat. I've never even had cories that have bred that I know of, so I wouldn't think my ottos would.

if it's alone the eggs wouldn't get fertilized

Today I also noticed what looked similar to an angelfish's egg tube comong out of the large ottos's cloaca. A neighboring fish had this as well.
