Does anyone know how i should build 2 overflows in my 240 gallon tank i have stand pipes and i have had some power outs due to storms and i dont like that my floor floods when that happens so any info will help

you would want to go with bigger pvc, probably 2 or 2.5" and run two of them, but yes, that would give you good flow... and im not real sure on the size of the pipe, but im sure one of the sw guys would have a better idea

increase the size of the piping to accomidate the increase in water.

also how long do your outages last? a battery back up might be something to look at, its saved me a few times with power outages this winter alone.

office depot or staples would be a good place to look locally... you could probably find them cheaper online though... just google uninterrupted power supply... the only down side is that they dont last very long... one on radio shacks website is $120 and only runs a pc for 50 minutes... a small generator would probably be better
