Pagoda Coral Question w/ pic

Hey guys,

Do you know the best placement on the rock for the pagoda to spread more quickly? I bought this frag a few days ago and I'm currently trying to place it on the rock so it'll eventually spread onto the rock. The only problem is the pagoda is on a flat piece of plaster and the rock is pretty cylyndrical. How much of the pagoda actually has to touch the rock for it to spread?

My personal experience with mine is that they're not fast growers. They do, however, like high flow rates, so put them near a powerhead or source of flow and the tentacles will fan out further.

I have a huge one and it`s about 2/3 of the way up. I`ve had it for ten yrs now and they are not the fastest grower but they do OK.

thanks guys. hey neilanh, how much water flow is high? i mean i have mine pretty close to the powerhead but i don't want to over do it.

As long as you can see the heads gently swaying you`ll be OK.
