I just isolated my pangasius 3 days ago and I've been treating him with something called erythromycin by API because that's what my LFS recommended. He looks worse now. The bacterial infection on his nose is literally eating his flesh away. Idk what to do anymore can anyone recommend something?

Kanamycin. A decent lfs will carry it usually under the Seachem brand, Kanaplex. The erythro should be removed first. Alternately, if your ph is in the low 7's (or less), you can combine erythro with minocycline. What he needs is a gram negative antibiotic. If you are able to handle your fish, you can topically apply methylene blue or peroxide (keep out of eyes and gills) in addition to tank treatment. Salinity can be increased gradually to .5-1tsp/g if he can tolerate it. Reduce temps gradually to the low 70's to slow bacterial growth as well. Please ask if you have questions!
