Paradise Gourami

I have a paradise gourami and just recently purchased a golden honey to go in with him. I introduced them and the paradise just kept going after the honey relentlessly. Is this just because one is new or will this chasing always be the case? Is there anything I can do to help them like each other?

Probably not. paradise fish are not the nicest of tank mates and against other gouramis, they can do a lot of damage. Honey's are not really a good match with paradise fish. I'd consider rehoming one of them.
