I have two 55gal Malawi lake mbuna tanks I recently had to move and now my water supply went from a ph of 8.2 to 6.5. My biofilters came out of the move unscathed but my fish are noticably stressed. (lethargic, clamped fins etc...
Ammo 0
NitrItes 0
NitrAtes .40
Ph.(in aquaria) 6.8
My question is since I dont have access to crushed coral, seashells or live rock would it be possible to gradually raise the ph using sodium bicarbonate? Or is there something else I could use?
