pistol or mantis shrimp?

I've noticed some clicking in my tank lately. Haven't added any LR in a while. It is usually 3 or more clicks. I think that it may be a pistol or mantis shrimp, but I am not sure on which. It may also be my imagination, becuase I haven't seen anything, but I know they like to hide.

It could be either. If you start seeing smashed hermit shells, then you will know its a mantis. They are both very good hiders. I discovered a mantis a year after adding my last batch of rock.

I haven't noticed any broken hermit shells. Do the mantis eat the hermits? The first hermit that I had (came w/ lr) had a hole in it's shell, but the crab is still alive. I just counted all 13 of the hermits during feeding time, so they are all still alive.
