In my HOB, I currently have a thin black sponge+thin white sponge. Ceramic rings and a sponge used for seeding. This is my current placement, once the water comes up the intake tube, it touches first the sponge then ceramic rings then the black and the white thin sponges. Is this a okay setup or should I take out the seeded sponge and the water first will hit the ceramic rings then the 2 thin sponges.

It doesn't matter a whole lot, honestly. IMO though, it's best to have the water go through the sponges first, then the ceramic rings, as this will let the sponges collect the debris and keep your rings cleaner.
