So, I will be building a 10 gallon betta tank, I already have the filter, heater, and light
I went ahead and added pebbles that I had there, a large rock, 3 java ferns, 3 Anubias nana, anacharis, and crypt wendtii, I'm not close to being done with it
The current inhabitants are a beautiful male betta, and 2 gold mystery snails
Here is my stock plan
1 betta
5 cherry barbs
5 neon tetras OR 5 glow light tetras
10 ghost shrimp
3 african dwarf frogs
3 mystery snails( 1 gold, 1 blue, 1 black)
What do you guys think?
I'll be adding a lot more plants plus a large piece of driftwood
Thanks for looking!

I would drop the cherry barbs cause you are kinda overstocking your tank.

Ok, so I'm gonna add 2 clamps on top of the tank, clamped
I want to add two, 6500k, 60w bulbs to my tank, is that enough to grow some dwarf hair grass or so my plants can get red?
Thanks!

Not sure about that cause I'm new to keeping aquariums all I know is that bettas can be aggressive and kill the neons or even other fish so beware of that really depends on betta personality. And we need to know what's the depth of your tank to determine whether it would be enough light as light can dissipate in the water other than that I really don't know anything about plants. Sweet betta and snail!!

Thanks man!
I know some bettas can, and some can't, I really want to give it a shot because I have one in my 50 gallon community tank, but again, I had one alone, and as soon as I added a snail, it killed it, I have snails with this one so I really want to give it a shot
Also, don't think I'm changing my lighting, I found out that LED's are pretty bright and my light has 16 bulbs, so I'm going to give that a try
If not, then I'll get the lights
The tank is 12 inches deep

Oh really, I mean, I never kept cherry barbs but never thought that they would get that active, thanks for clearing that up tho
Ok so I'm going to try 8 neons, and if it doesn't work( I never had luck with neons) ill get some glow light tetras
Thanks!

Go on aquadvisor.com and add your tank details and filter details. Then put in the stock your thinking of adding. It will flag up any potential problems. You need to be careful of overstocking

I did do that, but not with the barbs, I put in a combination of 5 neons and 5 glow lights and said I was 98% stocked

What filter do you have? Sounds heavy on the stocking but if you are confident then go for it. Keep up on water changes though and you'll be fine

I have a canister, but I'm changing that to an HOB next week
I do 50% water changes weekly, and plus it will be heavily planted

Personally I'd cut the dwarf frogs out. One small school and a betta (plus your inverts) and call it a day. No need to push things to the absolute max.
